About the BTB program
Beyond the Badge is our chance to give back to those who give so much of themselves to us.
Each quarter, No Worries Balm will host a Blue Line BBQ for the chosen department to provide our heroes some much deserved gratitude with delicious home-cooked food.
Please share your story of how heroes have touched your lives. We would love to see this gratitude grow like it has in our hearts. Our dream is to increase to monthly BBQs and eventually be able to honor heroes far beyond the state of New Jersey.

The Story of Beyond the badge

On the night of September 1, 2021 Hurricane Ida caused catastrophic rainfall to hit New Jersey, resulting in the tragic loss of thirty lives and countless water rescues. That night saw selfless acts of humankind that were beyond what we expect as mere mortals. I was an eyewitness to angels on earth that night.
I was one of the lucky people that were rescued. Every day I think of and pray for not only those who lost their lives, but for those who rescued me as well. The brave New Jersey officers from Hillsborough Township and Montgomery Township acted with profound courage and self-sacrifice. I was in awe of their composure during the rescue in raging flood waters, as well as their humility after the danger had passed. Since Ida there have been many more severe storms and with each new storm my desire to honor my heroes grew.
The original formula for the No Worries Balm was washed away in the storm, but the dream was not lost. I gained new focus thanks to every one of those brave officers.
